The Archives & Library hold an impressive collection of manuscripts, historic records, photographs, maps and printed books dating back to the late 8th century.
We are also delighted that an old friend of the club, Professor Emeritus of Mediaeval History at King’s College London and an acclaimed expert on mediaeval manuscripts, Anne Duggan, will be joining us together with the Chief Archivist at Canterbury. They will be able to provide as with a unique and unparalleled commentary on the manuscripts on display.
Access to the archives is at Cathedral House, 11 The Precincts, Canterbury CT1 2EH.
If you would like to join us for lunch before the visit we are meeting at Il Posticino, 61 Dover St, Canterbury CT1 3HD at 12.45.Please contact email@example.com to book a place at either/both the restaurant and visit.
